Ellis's ultrasound went fairly well. Her doctors feel like the swelling around her surgery site is a collection of tiny fluid-filled cysts, which is not uncommon with the type of lymphatic malformation she has had. She will have an exam next week with one of her surgeons, and we will know more then about our next steps. They might decide to remove the swollen tissue surgically or with injected medication, or they might leave it alone if they think the swelling could go down on its own. We don't want her to have to go through yet another procedure or surgery, but we are very relieved that her doctors feel like this is something that can be taken care of. We have always been told that with lymphatic malformations, swelling and cysts are common and Ellis might have to deal with issues like this on and off her whole life. We continue to pray for Ellis's healing and for wisdom for her doctors.
Happy pictures anyone? This adorable shirt came from Harley Joe and Motorcycle Mama Moe. :)

While we wait for her next appointment, we have some very happy distractions. Sgt. Uncle Grant is here visiting for his R&R, and Ellis is already loving the extra attention. We will take and share some great pictures of them together this weekend. We are also looking forward to a visit next week from Grandpa George & Trish!
